About the process
+ What happens after I contact you?
I will read through your answers in the application form and reach out to schedule a call. I will send you another short and visual form where you will be asked to choose your style preferences. You can fill it out before or after the call. Either works. On the call, we will focus on getting specific and shaping your desired outcome. After that, you send me all the necessary materials, and I start the design.
+ How does your design process work?
The process is built on 3 steps: Concept, Technical Project, and Project Management. Depending on how much support you need, you can stop at any step or go through the whole process.

+ How long will my project take?
Every project’s timeline will be calculated based on the estimated agreed scope and the client’s timely responsiveness. You will receive an estimated timeline for your project in your quote. The first payment confirms the project start date.
+ How do you get to know what I want?
Before I start designing, you will be asked to fill out two forms - the application form and your style preferences form. These are designed to collect information about your space, style, and the general project idea. Our video call will allow me to ask you questions that were not in the forms and get to know you, your lifestyle/business, and your dream outcome in more detail. After the call, I usually have a significant amount of information to design a space that fits your needs. However, if something was left behind, I will ask you via email.
+ How involved do I need to be?
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information throughout the project - including floor plans, measurements, photos, budget parameters, and any structural or regulatory constraints you are aware of. You are also responsible for providing clear feedback on the stages of the design I share with you.
+ What if I don't know what I want or can't describe my style?
The form focused on your style preferences is designed for you to pick what feels right. Design vocabulary is not needed to be able to complete it. You pick the atmospheres, colours, lights, and materials that attract you.
+ What if I change my mind halfway through?
If you significantly change the project direction after work has begun, you will be quoted for the remaining work, and I will adjust the timeline accordingly. Small changes are part of the process, and they are included in the revision time.
+ How many revision rounds do I get?
Each offer includes a defined number of revision rounds, as stated in the quote and offer description. The Vision offer includes 3 rounds of revisions. The Full Project offer includes 7 rounds of revisions (3 in the concept phase, 4 in the execution phase). The Fully Guided offer includes 7 rounds of revisions (3 in the concept phase, 4 in the execution phase) + ongoing communication during the Project Management phase (response within 1 working day).
+ What counts as a revision?
A revision round is defined as one consolidated set of feedback from you, responded to by one updated version of the relevant deliverable from me.
+ Can you work remotely on the entire project?
Yes, 100%. However, if agreed in advance and quoted separately, I can perform site visits.
+ Do you coordinate the renovation in person?
In-person site visits are not included in any of the offers. However, they can be added to the scope if agreed in advance and quoted separately.
About working together
+ Why do I need an interior architect?
An interior architect maximizes the function, safety, and aesthetics of your space. We translate your lifestyle into a cohesive, high-quality environment you actually want to live in. But it is not only the design. Hiring an interior architect saves you from stress, wasted money, and time. We can manage all the logistics related to shopping, finding contractors and suppliers, resolving technical challenges of the project, and controlling the building process for you.
+ When is the best time to hire an interior designer?
The best time to hire an interior designer is as early in your project as possible -ideally before you finalize architectural layouts or hire a general contractor. Early involvement ensures structural plans, plumbing, and electrical layouts align with your design goals, preventing costly and time-consuming modifications later.
+ How do we meet and work together?
We start with a form and a video call. After that, the project runs through email and video calls (and WhatsApp when something is faster to say than to write).
+ How often do we meet?
We have a video call at the start of the project. After that, we meet when it genuinely helps. Most clients find we don't need many - the process is designed to be clear enough that long back-and-forths are rare. We will find a rhythm that works for us.
+ How do we communicate during the project time?
Mostly by email - it keeps everything documented and easy to refer back to. For quick questions or fast decisions, WhatsApp works perfectly. You'll always know where things stand.
About deliverables
+ What exactly will I receive at the end?
The final deliverable depends on the type of offer you will go for - The Vision/ The Full Project / Fully Guided, and the final scope of work for your specific space.
All agreed deliverables and scope will be mentioned in the quote.
+ Will I get drawings that my contractor can actually work from?
Yes, but only if you go for the offers: The Full Project or Fully Guided. You will receive a complete execution project that will tell the contractors everything they need to start working on the site
+ What format are the files delivered in?
PDF.
+ What's the difference between a concept and a full project?
Both offers start with the same process: 2 layout proposals + a moodboard + 3D model and visualisations based on the defined direction. After a few revisions back and forth to specify the details, the concept phase is done. The technical project phase (all the technical drawings + materials and product selection) follows after the concept is done. This part of the project is available starting from the Full Project scope.
+ Will I know what everything costs before committing to buying it?
Yes, all costs of the agreed scope will be mentioned in the quote.
+ Can I use your design with any contractor, or do I have to use someone you recommend?
If you engage The Vision, after you receive the complete concept file, the project timeline and execution are entirely yours - contractor coordination isn't included.
If you engage in The Full Project and Fully Guided, I'll offer suggestions, but you make the final call on contractors. Just keep me informed of your choices so I can coordinate the work on your timeline.
+ What if a product you specified is out of stock or discontinued?
I am not in charge of purchasing, ordering, or receiving goods on your behalf for any of the offers. However, if the product selected by me in the list is out of stock or discontinued, I will find a replacement product, only one time for each missing product.
About money
+ How much do I need to pay for my project?
The total fee for the project is based on the scope of work, the size, and the complexity of the space. The total fee for the agreed scope of work is stated on the quote. Payment schedules can be discussed in writing.
+ What other costs should I prepare for?
Beyond the primary design fee, you should prepare for expenses related to materials and products, their shipping and storage, and contractor labor.
+ How can I pay?
After you receive your quote, you have 14 working days to complete the payment. The first payment confirms the start day of the project.
+ Do I pay for everything up front or in stages?
Concept phase payment is due before I start the work, and it covers the whole phase 1. The next two (Technical Project and Project Management) will be billed later and can be split into two payments (50% & 50%).
Payment schedules can be discussed in writing.

+ Can I cancel the project at any time?
You may cancel anytime in writing:
Before work starts: first payment refundable, minus costs incurred.
Once Concept Phase starts - first payment non-refundable.
Once Technical/PM Phase starts - first payment (50%) non-refundable; if over 50% of scope is done, pro-rata charges apply.
Deliverables remain the designer's IP until fees are settled.
+ What's included in the price?
The scope of work is defined by the offer you selected. Only the deliverables explicitly listed in the quote are included in the agreed fee. Any work beyond that scope constitutes additional services and will be quoted and agreed separately in writing before being undertaken.
+ What's not included in the price?
Structural/architectural surveys or building inspections.
Planning permissions, permits, or regulatory approvals.
Purchasing or receiving goods on your behalf, unless agreed.
Contractor supervision, unless project management is engaged.
On-site management, unless agreed separately.
Work on spaces outside the agreed scope.
About the execution and renovation
+ Do you manage the renovation or just design it?
Management of the renovation process is included only in the Fully Guided offer.
+ Do I need to find my own contractors?
If you stop on the first offer - The Vision, or the second offer - The Full Project, yes, finding contractors will be your responsibility only.
To ensure help in finding contractors, you need to engage the project management service, which is only part of the Fully Guided offer.
+ How do I know if a contractor is doing the work correctly?
Confirm that the materials, brands, and fixtures being used match the specifications outlined in your project.
Check your contract to ensure no shortcuts are taken.
Watch for consistent delays or rushed critical steps.
Ask about their methods; if inexperienced, hire an independent inspector for major milestones.
Look for uneven surfaces, gaps, crooked lines, or sloppy finishes.
+ Will you be there when the work is happening?
When you engage the project management service, I will coordinate work with contractors and suppliers via phone calls and email. However, I will not be present on the site to review the construction work in person unless agreed on in advance and quoted separately.
+ How do you handle suppliers and deliveries?
When you engage the project management service, I will connect with suppliers and manufacturers on your behalf. I select and propose the materials and products to you and issue a formal purchase order to the supplier after your final decision. The contractual relationship, which includes deliveries of the materials, between you and any supplier, remains solely between those parties.
+ Who is responsible if something doesn't turn out as designed?
When you engage the project management service, I will coordinate work with contractors and suppliers. However, this coordination does not constitute legal supervision or guarantee of contractor performance. The contractual relationship between you and any contractor remains solely between those parties.
+ What if the contractor changes something without telling me?
If a contractor changes your project scope without your approval, they are legally breaching the signed contract. You are not obligated to pay for unapproved "extras". Immediately halt unauthorized work, document the changes, and issue a formal written notice via email or certified mail outlining the agreed terms.
About your specific situation
+ I only want to change one room - can you work with that?
Yes, we can work together on a room transformation. In that case, you still can choose between different offers - The Vision, The Full Project, and Fully Guided. The fact that the project is smaller doesn’t change the process.
+ My space is very small - can you work with that?
Yes, 100%. Optimizing small spaces is a challenge in interior design that I am familiar with. In that case, the final fee is based on the complexity of the project.
+ I already have some furniture I want to keep - is that a problem?
No, keep what you love and can’t let go, and I will find the way to work with it.
+ I'm renting - does that change what's possible?
Check your rental contract and bring that information to our first video call.
+ I need this done quickly - how fast can you move?
The timeline of the project is estimated based on the agreed scope and the general client’s timely responsiveness. When you commit to 2 or 3 phases in advance, the phase processes may overlap, which can shorten the waiting time.
If you need an expedited interior design timeline, the rush fee of 35% will be charged on top of the standard rates.
About commercial spaces specifically
+ Do you design commercial spaces as well as homes?
Yes, cafés, yoga studios, retail spaces, coworking spaces, wellness centres, restaurants, and more. Commercial design is half of what I do.
Worth knowing: as an interior designer rather than a licensed architect, you may need a certified local architect to sign off on certain structural or regulatory approvals. Where that's needed, I'll flag it early and can work alongside one seamlessly. I'll always be upfront about what falls within my scope and what doesn't, so there are no surprises.
+ Do you understand what my type of business actually needs?
Almost certainly yes - and if your business is something I haven't designed before, I'll do the work to understand it properly before we begin. The application form and our call together give me a detailed picture of how your business operates, who it serves, and what the space needs to do. That understanding is the foundation of everything I design.
+ Can you work within the regulations for commercial spaces?
It depends on the scope of the work. Interior design - layout, materials, atmosphere, furniture, finishes - is fully within what I do. However, for certain structural changes, safety certifications, or permits required by local authorities, a licensed local architect needs to be involved.
If your project is likely to need that kind of approval, I'll tell you early, and I can recommend or work alongside a local architect to cover that side. Many projects don't need it at all. For those that do, it's a straightforward collaboration rather than a complication.
